In simple terms the initial building / home survey is a health check and feasibility on the property and its general condition for extensions and conversion. On return after this first free initial assessment to take full dimensions and details of the proposals, further advice will be given regarding mortgage and structural surveys if found necessary or required. This advice can include party wall / fence requirements and future planned and preventative advice to ease the long term maintenance costs and difficulties.
Areas covered by a building survey
- The initial survey is for measurement and general surface condition of the property.
- If serious condition concerns are found a short referral report is prepared.
